Geographic Position and climate

The Republic of Bolivia is located in the heart of South America, between 57° 26' and 69° 38' longitude west of the meridian of Greenwich and parallels 9° 38' and 22° 53' latitude south, covering over 13 geographic degrees.

The Republic of Bolivia borders:

Brazil, to the north and northeast;
Peru, to the northwest;
Paraguay, to the southeast;
Argentina, to the south
Chile to the west and southwest.

Geographic elevations:

Highest: 7,014 m. (Potosi)
Lowest: 30 m. (a place in Beni).

The Bolivian territory offers a variety of climates according to the geographic region:

On the plains it is hot and humid, with average temperatures of 25° C (77° F) and heights oscillating between 200 and 400 meters above sea level,
 In the valleys it is temperate and dry, with average temperatures of 15C° (50° F) and heights between 1000 and 3000 meters above sea level
